VEGAN GERMAN CHEESECAKE
The classic among German desserts. For us, even better than the original!
Ingredients
For the base:
- 250 g flour
- 1 pack baking powder
- 125 g vegan margarine
- 80 g sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 tbsp cold water
For the filling:
- 1 kg soy yogurt or even better skyr yogurt
- 150 g sugar
- 1 lemon zest
- 2 pack vanilla pudding powder
- 125 g vegan margarine
Instructions
- For the base, put all the ingredients in a bowl and knead into a smooth dough.
- Line the bottom of a round baking pan with baking paper and grease the sides with a little margarine.
- Spread the dough in the baking pan and press up the edges. Place in the refrigerator.
- For the filling, mix yogurt, sugar, vanilla pudding powder and lemon zest together.
- Melt margarine briefly (in saucepan or microwave) and mix in.
- Stir everything together until smooth.
- Remove the baking dish from the refrigerator, pour the filling into the dish and smooth it out.
- Bake at 180 degrees top-bottom heat for 60 minutes and enjoy!
