
VEGAN CINNAMON BUNS
Homemade cinnamon buns smell wonderful and are super fluffy. With this recipe you can easily recreate the classic and have the perfect dessert.
Ingredients
For the yeast dough:
- 600 g flour
- 375 ml warm water
- 1 cube fresh yeast
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 40 g coconut oil
For the filling:
- 140 g vegan butter
- 100 g brown sugar
- 3-4 tbsp cinnamon
For the glaze:
- 150 g icing sugar
- 4 tbsp water
Instructions
- Crumble yeast cubes in lukewarm water, add sugar and mix.
- Leave to stand for 10 minutes.
- Heat the coconut oil so that it becomes liquid and let it cool down a bit (it must not be hot anymore).
- Add oil and salt to the yeast mixture and mix.
- Gradually add the flour and knead until a ball of dough is formed.
- Put a wet cloth over the bowl and let the dough rest in a warm place for at least 1 hour.
- For the filling, combine the butter at room temperature with the other ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Grease the baking pan with butter and set aside.
- Shape the risen dough into a ball.
- Dust the tabletop with flour and roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread the filling evenly on the dough.
- Over the long side, tightly roll up the dough to form a large roll.
- Carefully divide the roll into pieces with a knife or silicone spatula (about 12 pieces).
- Spread the snails in the baking pan, let them rise for 10 minutes and then bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Mix the powdered sugar with water to make a velvety glaze and pour over the cinnamon buns.
